Lousiana Boy’s Near-Drowning Experience Sparks Spiritual Reflection
A six-year-old boy from Louisiana, DJ, recently had a remarkable experience during a frightening incident that has touched many hearts.
On July 4th, DJ was with his family, including his mother, Christa Parker. It was reported that he was initially afraid of the water, typically avoiding it. Yet, somehow, he found himself in the pool, facing a near-drowning situation. Parker, along with her husband, worked on administering CPR, desperate to revive him.
“Lord, cover my baby with thy blood in Jesus’ name. Lord, Lord, return my baby,” she prayed fervently.
As water began to emerge from DJ’s mouth, Parker noticed that his eyes remained open and unblinking, a concerning sign. Thankfully, as emergency personnel arrived, DJ began to breathe on his own again, and was visibly upset.
Once he was safe, DJ shared that he had seen his mother and stepfather during the traumatic moment. This revelation sparked discussions on social media, where many were inspired by his story. Comments like, “Glory to God is the highest! God is undoubtedly real. What a powerful testimony!” echoed throughout various platforms.
One commenter added, “What a beautiful story,” while another expressed gratitude, saying, “God is very good. Lord who gave this child back?”
Fortunately, DJ emerged from the ordeal with only minor water inhalation. This experience has left a significant impact on his family, prompting his mother to advocate for CPR training for all parents, emphasizing its importance in emergencies. Reflecting on the incident, she expressed regret for not ensuring her son was better supervised around water.
DJ has shared his belief that God is real and encompasses all colors, emphasizing the need for unity and love among people. Parker mentioned that his understanding of God involves striving for togetherness and authenticity.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reminds us that drowning can occur quickly and quietly. They also highlight that formal swimming lessons can significantly lower the risk of drowning fatalities.
