The New York City Police Department has released a sketch of a man wanted in connection with the attempted rape of a young woman who was sunbathing in Central Park, the nation’s most famous urban park.
The sketch shows a man with a short beard, bags under his eyes and a baseball cap.
Police said earlier this week that the 21-year-old victim was sunbathing alone when a stranger approached her and stripped naked.
She got up to try to run, but the man chased her and tackled her from behind, authorities said.

Authorities said she escaped after a struggle and went to a hospital to be checked out but was not physically injured.
The incident happened Monday around 1:30 p.m. in Central Park near 104th Street and West Drive.
Police described the suspect as a black man in his 30s, about 6 feet tall with a medium build and curly hair.
He was wearing a light-colored shirt and shorts.

Immigrant arrested for raping 13-year-old girl in broad daylight in New York park
Police are asking anyone with information about the perpetrator to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
Authorities have increased patrols in the park following the attack.
Earlier this month, another shocking sexual assault occurred in a Queens park.
Police said the suspected illegal immigrants lured two 13-year-old girls into the woods, tied their wrists and raped one of them before stealing her cell phone and fleeing.

Police arrested suspect Christian Giovanni Inga Landi, 25, of Ecuador, after he was spotted walking near the deli by a group of good Samaritans and held down until police arrived.
The attack The incident happened on June 13 at Kissena Park, about three miles from Citi Field, home of the New York Mets, and near the site of the 1964 World’s Fair and U.S. Open. The victim also attended school in the neighborhood.
