Former CIA Officer Critiques Senator’s Video

On Friday’s episode of “Jesse Watters Prime Time,” Brian Dean Wright, a former CIA operations officer and host of the podcast “Wright Report,” accused Senator Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) of deliberately inciting controversy with what he called a “propaganda video” that urges military personnel to disregard purported “illegal orders.”

“Is what they’re doing inflammatory?” host Jesse Watters inquired.

“Absolutely,” Wright responded. “It’s essential to understand who Slotkin is. She was aware of what she was doing when she produced it. My role at the CIA involved gathering intelligence and conducting operations, while hers as an analyst was to assess the effectiveness of propaganda efforts.”

“She’s no stranger to propaganda and understands how to execute a successful campaign. If you examine the video again through that perspective, you’ll notice that one of the first things she emphasizes is credibility. They introduce themselves, whether as being from the CIA or the military. Then they transition into the next part of the message, which is creating a sense of crisis. They claim there are threats both internationally, like those posed by China and Russia, as well as domestic threats. But who are those threats?”

“Part of their propaganda strategy involves offering a solution: to rise against these threats. It’s crucial to save face in this narrative, providing just enough leeway to maintain an appearance of integrity. That’s the fig leaf they extend. Essentially, it’s not just about what you want to do; it’s also about what you ought to do. Slotkin, in this regard, is quite calculated. She crafted this video with a specific intent. Having worked in similar environments, we understand the nuances of propaganda work, and that’s precisely what her video represents.”
