Sniper shot at former President Donald Trump from 130 yards away on roof of manufacturing plant

The gunman who attempted to assassinate former President Donald Trump at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday was positioned on the roof of a manufacturing plant more than 130 yards (a little longer than a football field) from the stage.

The outdoor campaign event was held at the Butler Farm Show grounds, whose vast grounds gave the sniper a nearly unobstructed view of the former president.

The Washington Post reported that the gunman was killed by a sniper team, which responded to gunfire from behind the bleachers on the roof of another building near where Trump was standing, according to sources.

The building where the shooter’s body was later found is part of the complex of AGR International, a supplier of automated equipment to the glass and plastic packaging industries, and its grounds are directly adjacent to the agricultural exhibition grounds, separated only by a chain-link fence.

This is the AGR International building where the sniper who injured former President Trump climbed onto the roof and fired from 130 yards away.

Apart from a few trees on the AGR International grounds, the agricultural exhibition grounds are clearly visible from the building’s roof, and only grass stands between the gunman’s rifle and the former president’s head.

A police official told The Associated Press that an AR-style semi-automatic assault rifle was recovered from the scene.
