“Saturday Night Live” mocked Vice President Kamala Harris on Saturday in a skit focused on the vice presidential debate between Gov. Tim Walz and Sen. J.D. Vance, in which Maya Rudolph, who plays Harris, The video showed him drinking wine and watching the night unfold.
Jim Gaffigan as Waltzand Bowen Yang, who played Vance, were shown having a moment of intense agreement, taking aim at the part that both candidates said they mutually agreed with in the actual debate.
“Why are they friends? Why are they so excited?” Rudolph exclaimed after spitting out his wine.
Andy Samberg, who played Harris' husband Doug Emhoff, sat next to Rudolph and watched the parody debate.

“I don't know, Dougie, I wish I had chosen Josh right now,” Rudolph said after the debate moderator asked a question about the Middle East that neither candidate could answer.
“Who is Josh Shapiro?” Samberg asked. “Josh,” Rudolph said, holding up a bottle of wine. “No, Josh, Cabernet.”
Samberg told Rudolph not to worry because Gaffigan wasn't saying anything “weird.”
“I became friends with school shooters,” Gaffigan said, referring to Walz's remarks during the debate.

Rudolph then broke a wine glass in his hand as Samberg admitted to the vice presidential candidate's “gaffe.”
Later in the skit, Ms. Samberg entered the room and announced that President Biden had come to see her.
Biden, played by Dana Carvey, comes in and says, “You saw this guy, come on, Waltz! What's wrong with that guy? He's crazy, get your facts straight, Jack!”

Gaffigan and Yang described multiple key moments from the actual debate between Waltz and Vance, including a question about whether Waltz was in Tiananmen Square and Vance accusing the debate moderator of attempting to fact-check. .
“Honey, we did it, we got the soundbite!” Samberg mocked Vance's answer to a debate question about whether former President Trump would win in 2020, saying, “Public opinion “What are the investigators saying?”
“This is a big victory, it made no difference!” Rudolph replied.
