Snoop Dogg has created some of the hottest and most sought-after Olympic memorabilia for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
Snoop, aka Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., is showing his support by handing out special Olympic pins to members of Team USA, which feature the “Gin N’ Juice” rapper blowing smoke rings in the colors of the Olympic rings with the Eiffel Tower in the background.
One of the recipients of this special pin was none other than tennis phenom Coco Gauff.
“Hey Coco, it’s Big Snoop Dogg and I’ve got something cool for you,” the hitmaker said in a video he sent to the Olympians, showing off a special pin badge. “Have a great day today/Go USA.”
Gauff responded in her own video, saying, “Hey Snoop, thanks for the pin. This is the best pin I’ve ever received,” adding that she was looking forward to meeting him at this year’s U.S. Open.
The exchange of special commemorative pins is an Olympic tradition that dates back to the first modern Olympic Games in 1896.
Many people tried to get their hands on the Snoop pin, and it quickly became a highly coveted item.
New Zealand women’s rugby team members Alena Saili and Tisha Ikenasio are chasing Snoop Dogg’s pin and are documenting their search. Videos posted on TikTok.
Journalist Ariel Chambers also documented her search for Snoop’s pins on TikTok, writing, “My collection is incomplete without your pins.” she said in the video. “I want that.”
She appears to have had great manifestation powers, Her next video She was actually with Snoop Dogg, and Snoop promised her he would “get it for her.”
Snoop has been everywhere for the 2024 Olympics, run as an Olympic torchbearer, served as a sports anchor for NBC, cheered on Team USA every chance he got, and even earned the title of Team USA’s biggest fan.
He was seen cheering on the U.S. women’s gymnastics team in the team all-around, catching the eye of gold medalists Simone Biles and Jordan Childs.
When Chills spotted Snoop in the stands, he began dancing. Mr. Do-Double-G couldn’t resist her, and he rose from his seat and danced to the rhythm with only Chills and Snoop hearing the sounds.
Snoop sat down with Chills’ parents and essentially became part of their family, cheering for her just as enthusiastically as her parents did.
The legendary hitmaker is not pulling any punches at the Olympics either, and is hoping to draw an even bigger audience to this year’s Games.
“They want me to be me, and that’s what’s great about them, because they don’t want me to dilute anything or become something I’m not. They want Snoop Dogg,” Snoop said about stepping into the announcer role. The New York Times reported.
