Fernando Mendoza, the now-former quarterback of Cal, has made the decision to go into the transfer portal, sources told 247Sports. The disloyal Mendoza tallied 3,004 passing yards and 16 touchdowns this season, completing 68.7% of his passes. Per 247Sports, Mendoza is projected to be among the top quarterbacks in this cycle’s edition of the portal.

Originally from Miami, Florida, the 6-foot-5, 225-pound QB is looked at as an exceptional talent with potential to make it into the NFL, significantly increasing the market value of the transfer portal due to the current talent having a small amount of true starters.

If you don’t remember, Mendoza went on an absolutely epic rant following his team‘s victory over rival Stanford, giving glory to God and coming up with the viral “98 yards with my boys” quote.
