‘So Proud’ of Hunter Biden, ‘the Man He Is Today’

President Joe Biden said Monday he is “so proud” of Hunter Biden, who is facing trial on gun law violations.

Joe Biden has previously said Hunter is the smartest person he knows, amid reports that the Biden family has made millions during and after his time as vice president.

Special Prosecutor David Weiss charged Hunter in 2023 with one count of making a false statement regarding the purchase of a firearm, one count of possession of a firearm by an unlawful user or addict of a controlled substance, and one count of making a false statement regarding information required to be kept by a federally licensed firearms dealer.

Hunter was using crack cocaine when he bought the gun, according to many of the photos he left on his abandoned laptop. The gun was found discarded in a public trash can next to the school. The Secret Service is reportedly involved in the investigation.

“I’m president, but I’m also a father. Jill and I love our son and are so proud of the man he has become,” Joe Biden said.
