On August 23, Maren Morris expressed her discontent with fans who, according to her, overstepped boundaries during a meet-and-greet before her concert.
The popular country artist was excited about her performance on the Dreamsicle tour in Grand Rapids, Michigan, but things took an unexpected turn. “Hello… tonight’s show was so much fun, but someone grabbed my ass while I met and greeted him before the show,” she shared on social media, as reported by Tofab.
Despite the encounter, Morris remained firm in her stance that such behavior was unacceptable. However, she also conveyed that one person’s actions wouldn’t deter her from engaging with her fans. “I’m going to keep them going, as one person shouldn’t ruin it for everyone,” she stated, hinting at the importance of continuing meaningful connections.
She took the opportunity to remind fans about the significance of respecting personal boundaries during these close interactions. “But don’t disable someone’s personal space. Love you,” she added, reinforcing her message.
Morris, 35, is well-known for her friendly disposition and regularly interacts with her audience. The tour, which kicked off on May 30 in West Hollywood, California, will continue with multiple dates until late September, and she’s expected to transition to the European leg in November.
