President Joe Biden finally addressed the nation from the Oval Office after withdrawing from the 2024 presidential race on Sunday.
In his speech, the president made clear his readiness to undertake fundamental reform of the Supreme Court during the remainder of his term.
MSNBC’s Jen Psaki is excited.
“The other thing that struck me was when he talked about Supreme Court reform. I circled that,” Psaki said during the panel, “and as you all know, that’s a phrase that hasn’t come out of Joe Biden’s mouth, even when he was president.”
“I think it’s a reminder that leadership is about being consistent and knowing what people expect from you. It’s important to be open to evolution,” Psaki added.
Dave Rubin of “The Rubin Report” has heard enough.
“They’re saying the quiet parts out loud,” Rubin commented to David Sachs, “Joe Biden himself, if his brain was still sane, would never have supported expanding the Supreme Court. But he’s ceding power, and she’s basically saying that’s exactly what Kamala is going to do.”
Sachs points out that Elizabeth Warren and others like her have “openly tweeted that they want to overstaff the Supreme Court.”
“They say it’s a good idea. It’s transparent,” Sachs said. “First of all, adding more justices to the Supreme Court would destroy the Supreme Court.”
“This is one of the last functioning institutions in our democracy and they are trying to undermine and destroy it,” he added.
