Recently, a new controversy has emerged involving the sons of former Mexican president Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO).
This week, Latteinus broke the news about legal protections, known as “Amparos,” that were filed for AMLO’s two oldest sons, Roberto “Bobby” Lopez Bertran. These protections reportedly aim to shield the brothers from arrest; however, it remains unclear whether they are actually under investigation.
Previous reports from various outlets highlighted the relationship between the Lopez brothers, indicating that they have leveraged their political connections to establish a significant smuggling network, utilizing Mexican naval ports and ships.
According to Breitbart Texas, the controversy first surfaced earlier this month, linking it to an illegal fuel market operation. This led to the arrests of several Mexican navy officials and warrants issued for additional suspects, including government figures and judges. Disturbingly, two navy captains associated with this case have died under strange circumstances. Critics and rival politicians have accused Lopez Obrador and his inner circle of facilitating what is often referred to as the “Juaticol Finance” scheme.
The U.S. Department of Justice has disclosed that fuel markets tied to cartels involve criminal entities stealing fuel from Mexico and using shell companies for sales. Breitbart Texas reports that a Texas oil company owner is facing federal charges for allegedly assisting cartel-linked businessmen in moving large oil quantities through fraudulent paperwork.
