South African police confirmed Monday that they have launched a “treason” investigation into four individuals believed to be linked to Afriforum, a group defending the rights and interests of farmers in Africa.
The Hawks, who have become a style of elite investigative force within the South African Police Service (SAPS), have confirmed they are investigating four individuals after being accused by South African political parties.
Afriforum and the Solidarity Trade Union represent primarily the Afrikaners and advocates the interests and opinions of its members and constituents not only in South Africa but also in Washington, D.C.
Those who disagree with their views include supporters of the ruling African National Congress (ANC) party – recently denounced two groups opposed South Africa by President Donald Trump, who has stopped aid to the country (and others).
While some members of the South African government have acknowledged that African Follam and solidarity are merely exercising the freedom of speech guaranteed by the South African Constitution's Bill of Rights, the extremist Economic Freedom Fighter (EFF) is led by stubborn anti-white racist Julius Malema. ANC itself Called For South Africans, we want to target entire racial groups, not specific individuals or organizations, in order to “focus on isolating and working together with these right-wing races.”
South African Constitution in particular “(a) it stipulates freedom of expression except propaganda for war; (b) incites impending violence; or (c) constitutes advocacy of hatred based on race, ethnicity, gender, or religion, and incitement to cause harm.” There are no exceptions to overseas advocacy. This was a staple of the political activities of the ANC in decades of exile.
