The South Carolina Senate passed the Constitutional Carry Conference Report on Wednesday, and Gov. Henry McMaster (R-SC) is expected to sign it into law on Thursday.
This law takes effect immediately.
On March 5, Breitbart News reported that Carry the Constitution passed the House of Representatives after being considered by a legislative committee made up of three House members and three senators. The announcement was made through a report.

The conference report passed the state House of Representatives on Tuesday and the state Senate on Wednesday.
The Constitution Carry was signed by Mr. McMaster in a private signing ceremony Thursday, with a private ceremonial signing expected at a later date.
The other 28 constitutional states are: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia, Wyoming (Note: The Louisiana Constitution’s Carry Law goes into effect on July 4, 2024.)
