South Carolina Lawmakers Request the State to Recommit to the Lord

11 People Charged in Scheme to Obtain Citizenship

Celebration of Faith at the Museum of the Bible

On July 3 and 4, 2026, the Museum of the Bible is set to host a special celebration, inviting countries from around the globe to partake in this event. The American Spiritual Heritage Project is behind the initiative, aiming to document and share the integral role of Christianity in shaping the United States. As of March 11, 2026, South Carolina publicly committed to rededicating itself to the Lord, and this declaration officially took effect on March 27.

The initiative encourages members of the state House and Senate to support House Concurrent Resolution 5302, a bill introduced by Evangelist Jacob Ebersole and representatives from Charleston Crusade 2026, spearheaded by Republican Rep. Mark Smith. The measure has received bipartisan backing and seeks to authorize the “Charleston Crusade 2026,” scheduled for May 1-3, 2026. This gathering aims to honor the historic Christian roots of the state and inspires South Carolinians to recommit to spiritual practices through prayer, repentance, and a renewal of moral values.

Smith shared that this crusade will unite churches and volunteers from over 25 cities, serving as a significant reminder of America’s upcoming 250th anniversary. Reflecting on past successes, Ebersole noted his wish for America to return to its spiritual roots, recalling an inspiring experience in Spartanburg, South Carolina, where many believed change was impossible. He emphasized the power of faith, stating, “When did the impossible stop the Lord?”

As South Carolina gears up for this year’s event, Smith praised the impact of Ebersole’s previous initiatives, mentioning how attendees found a spirit of repentance and openness. “People shared their struggles without prompting,” he remarked, highlighting the inclusivity of the gathering where even recently released prisoners found solace in baptism. With a mix of livestreams and in-person engagements, future ministries seem poised to continue making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
