South Korea’s January 6: Is the deep state to blame?

When I am writing this, Korea is on the most important political crisis in several decades.

The Constitution has begun a bullet Each for President Yoon Suk Jol, which has been accused to declare martial law to prevent the suspension of civilian rule.

“The people who tilt right ears told me that Yun's personality did not respond, it was far away. Of course, the left wing hates him.”

Currently, his residence has a barricade under intense security, and Yun refuses to appear in court or to cooperate in investigating the alleged rebellion. His rebellion throws Korean democracy into unknown territory and plunges the nation into dangerous political storms.

However, this crisis is Korean in the context of the immediate context, but a deeper story brings a clear trace of the influence of the United States. South Korea's “Deep State” -Million, Intelligence, Corporate Power's Secret Network -can be backed in our involvement during the Cold War. Today's confusion is a direct consequence of these historical interventions in many ways.

Seeds of the Cold War

After World War II, the United States carved the South Korean Peninsula in half and created an artificial disparity between the north and south. In exploration to establish a breakwater for communism, the United States has set up a solid anti -communist Syngman Rheee as a Korean president. To solidify the control, Washington has integrated former Japanese collaborators into a national security device, built an authoritarian system designed to maintain and maintain order.

The Korean War has further established these dynamics. The conflict surrounded by democracy and communist has become a proxy war, along with the United States, which was deeply embedded in the Korean military and the Intelligence news system. By the end of the war in 1953, South Korea was firmly tied to the military -ized political order in line with US strategic priority.

Park Jung -hee, who took power in 1961, emerged as a major architect of this hierarchical system and is deeply intertwined with our Cold War strategy in Asia. At the request of the United States, Park has committed about 320,000 Korean troops to fight alongside the US military in the Vietnam War.

Officially, this large -scale development was surrounded as a way to strengthen the relationship with Washington, fight with the spread of communism in East Asia, and to enhance the status of South Korea's global stage. However, the partnership also embeddated the US influence on South Korea's military and political devices, and embedded a rule of control that combines economic ambitions and authoritative suppression of opposition.

Park's dominance, which was praised for promoting the rapid growth of the United States, also silenced the opposition to the heavy hand of the national security forces.

Similar to the deep American state

It is impossible to ignore the similarities between the deep states of South Korea and their American counter parts. In the United States, unifying entities, such as the CIA and NSA, are operated on a vague and freedom, running a secret strategy and mass monitoring program that skirts democratic accountability.

Meanwhile, giants of companies, such as Google, Amazon, and Blackrock, have solidified their status in this system and guarantee that their profits are often exceeding the general public. As a result, there is a seamless merger of the power of the private sector and government without transparency and accountability.

In South Korea, this pattern is repeated through Chevol (a large -scale conglomarit like Samsung and Hyundai), which dominates the national economy and has an imbalanced impact on policies. These family -owned companies have long been intertwined with the government, have concentrated on power, and have created a system that has been hardly checked. President Yoon's Martial Army declaration reminds me of how deep these units are fixing.

Attractive person in a broken system

In order to understand the fall from Yun's grace, he must look at his quite unique power. Peter Pike, a poet and professor who has won the YONSEI University in Seoul, explains that Yoon's career was a contradiction study.

“President Yoon Sack Jeol was a prosecutor who investigated a prominent politician and made his name,” Pike says. On behalf of the 2012 conservative candidate and final winner, Park Gun High. He paid for the survey because he was exiled from Seoul, and was expelled to a Deeg local city. ”

Yun's employment period as a prosecutor was characterized by a famous survey on corruption at the highest level. PAIK continues:

Yun, who was appointed by the liberal president Moon Jane to investigate corruption at the highest level of the government, succeeded in the conviction of his conservative former president Lee Myung Buck and Park Genhai. I spent time. Yun was appointed a prosecutor by the liberal President Moon Jane, but they fell into a dispute. Yun investigated the choice of Choe Cook, President Moon. Eventually, he was convicted of counterfeiting documents to enable children to enroll in an honorable university.

Yoon's decision to run for the president in cooperation with the power party of conservative people has alienated him from his former allies. He promised a transparent leadership, but quickly disappointed the public, as Pike pointed out.

Yun promised to provide an open and transparent leadership, but he immediately disappointed those who found a distant, distant, and flexible people. Even conservatives felt it was difficult to warm up. The right person told me that Yun's personality would not respond, he was far away. Of course, the left wing hates him.

Shadow of shamanism

Yoon's presidential position is suffering from scandals, such as the impact and controversy of Sharmanism surrounding his wife, Keyon Hee. PAIK about these characteristics speaks.

When Yoon was taken with the king of “KING” drawn in his palms, he speculated that he came from a shamanic ceremony aimed at helping him to acquire the presidential position. Sometimes there was a fuss. There are rumors that YOON's decision to declare martial law has arisen from the advice given to the adviser from a shaman.

Kim Keanhi also attracted the suspicion of corruption and the criticism of her controversy.

“His wife, Kim Ceon -hee, has been accused of plagiarism of his doctorate. A paper in English literature. She is rumored to have worked as a high -end bar. She is a teenager. I have a large -scale plastic surgery since the time, but I have no children, but I have some dogs. Is there a child in the President couple?

The road ahead

South Korea's political polarization reflects the deep fracture in its governance. The pike draws a harsh picture of the future of the country.

“Politics is very biased in Korea. Rival parties indicate that they have little willingness to cooperate with each other. When the Liberal Party gained a majority, they tried to Each Yun. You may experience more political convulsions.

Yoon's bullet Each trial is not a referendum about his president, but a democratic recovery test in Korea. The deep state of the Emergency of Cold War and the American intervention remains the powerful power to form the country's trajectory. It is not yet known whether South Korea can come out more strongly from the crisis or to fall into political turmoil. One certain thing, however, is that the roots of this crisis extend to the corridor of Washington's power far beyond the border.
