Speaker Mike Johnson blasts Zelensky while affirming Putin is aggressor

House Speaker Mike Johnson warned of Ukrainian President Voldimia Zelensky's actions against President Trump on Friday, warning that Russian tyrant Vladimir Putin is unreliable.

Johnson (R-La.) – Saying he was surprised by the frizzy-worthy public office between Trump, Zelensky and Veep JD Vance – apologising to the Chief's commander, leaving the possibility that “someone else should lead” Ukraine if the leader “doesn't come to his senses.”

“I attended many bilateral meetings in my time with heads of state and other senior officials,” Johnson, 53, told NBC's “Meet the Press” on Sunday. “I've never seen anything out there like President Zelensky's actions.

“He did not express his gratitude for the extraordinary help the US provided his country, but he was able to break the host and effectively help him stay alive and stay in power,” said the Republican speaker. “It was a shame how it went down.”

On Friday, 47-year-old Zelensky reiterated Trump and Trump in front of the camera after opposing a key aspect of the president's plan to end the war between Ukraine and Russia.

Zelensky faces a fierce conflict after Zelensky questioned Vance's claim that Ukraine was conducting diplomacy with Russia despite a long track record of violations Putin.

Trump later kicked Zelensky out of the White House, and both refused to sign the mineral rights agreement that was expected during the visit.

Johnson has a complex record of Ukraine's aid, and has put his speech at risk last year by voting against aid tranches, citing a Ukrainian aid package of about $60.8 billion for voting on the house floor.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) moved on to banish him from his leadership position, which Democrats ultimately shot down.

A speaker at GOP House publicly states that there is no political appetite in the lower room due to another huge package to support war-torn Ukraine.

Regarding negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, “President Trump is the only person in the world who is strong enough to bring both of these parties to the table,” Johnson said. “But President Zelensky went in and exploded, and that's a huge disappointment for everyone.

“We need to bring him back to the table, and of course we need to make him express our gratitude for everything we did for them,” said the House leader.

Johnson also asserted that Goper was tough on Putin, suggesting that Trump and Republicans were on the side of the Kremlin, calling Russia “absurd” repeatedly “provoked a war” to everyone.

On CNN's “Confederation State” on Sunday, Johnson blasted Putin as a “old-fashioned communist” and a “untrusted ex-KGB agent.”

“We need to put an end to this war in Ukraine. Putin is the attacker,” Johnson said. “It's an unfair war, and we're clearly articulated about it.

“The way to see this is that China, Russia, Iran and North Korea are engaged in a new axis force and are not on the side of the US,” he said. “Let's be clear about that. You must walk carefully in these dangerous times on the world stage.”

At a tough starting point from the Biden administration's policies, Trump piloted himself to position himself as a more neutral intermediary between the two fighting countries, rather than Ukraine, which he strictly supports.

“President Trump said it very clearly, 'trust but I confirm,'” Johnson pointed out, referring to talks between the US and Russia to end the war. “He is trying to become a change agent to mediate peace and end this conflict.”

Some Republicans expressed their wonders about Trump and Vance's approach to Zelensky on Friday.

Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) said she was “a sick in my stomach.”

“I think Senator Markovsky's view on this is clearly wrong,” Johnson said. “The person who left the table was… President Zelensky.

“Instead of showing gratitude, President Zelensky suspended and condemned the host at a very dangerous time for his country. I think Johnson should have been concerned about signing this agreement, referring to the mineral rights agreement.”
