Spencer Pratt Addresses Claims That He Lives in a Luxury Hotel Instead of an Airstream Trailer

Spencer Pratt Addresses Living Situation Amid Mayoral Campaign

Reality TV personality Spencer Pratt has reacted to claims about residing in a luxury hotel, which seems to go against his previous assertion of living in an Airstream trailer on the lot where his house stood before it was destroyed by fire.

This month, Pratt’s campaign to challenge Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass gained traction with a provocative advertisement. In it, he criticized his opponent for residing in affluent neighborhoods while residents face homelessness. The ad featured him outside an Airstream set on the charred remains of his property.

“This is where I live. They burned down my house,” Pratt stated in the viral video that has drawn over 13.8 million views.

The advertisement had a measurable impact, bolstering his performance in the recent mayoral debate, where many polls indicated he was leading comfortably.

However, on Wednesday, TMZ reported that Pratt claimed to be living at the Hotel Bel Air instead of the Airstream trailer.

A source close to the situation told TMZ that Pratt has been at the Hotel Bel Air for over a month, while his wife Heidi and their children are currently in Carpinteria, just north of LA. So, the trailer is essentially vacant.

The Hotel Bel Air is known for its luxury, with rooms starting at $1,500 per night. The extravagant Swan Lake Suite goes for a staggering $8,090 per night.

The reality of his situation seems to be muddled. “The supporters of Bass and Ramani are feeling quite desperate and hostile since I outperformed them in the debates and rose up the polls,” he said.
On specific threats, he chose not to elaborate but indicated that some individuals weren’t in safe circumstances. When asked why he referred to the trailer as his residence, Pratt noted he technically lives in multiple locations, including hotels, Santa Barbara, and trailers.

“We’ll stay wherever we can until we find a new home,” Pratt said. “Airstreams, hotels—they’re all just temporary. Right now, my kids are in Santa Barbara, which is also temporary. But, this is where I live, where they destroyed my house.”

“I don’t live in Hotel Bel Air. I don’t live in the Airstream. I don’t live in Santa Barbara. I don’t have a home; they burned it down,” he concluded.
