Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag sued the City of Los Angeles and the Department of Water and Power after losing their home in the Palisade fire.

According to court documents obtained by Fox News Digital, the reality star alleges “reverse accusations.” This is a legal concept that allows property owners to seek compensation when the government damages their property.

“The Hills” alum filed suit against 20 other property owners on Jan. 21, blaming the city of Los Angeles and utility company for damage to her home.

The document reports that the Santa Ynez Reservoir was emptied before the Palisade opened fire on January 7. Santa Ynez Reservoir is near the Pacific Palisades area of ​​Los Angeles.

Pratt, Montag, and the other plaintiffs accuse LADWP of making “a conscious decision to drain water reservoirs and operate an unusable water system as a 'cost-cutting' measure.”

“Plaintiffs have suffered actual and personal property damage, personal injury, loss of use of their home, loss of income, business interruption, and emotional distress, and have suffered damages caused by defendants in this case, including their own justice. We are seeking compensation.”

“Pacific Palisade's fire hydrants failed after each drying 1 million gallons of water within 12 hours, as the Santa Ynez Reservoir effectively paid the fee,” the complaint said.

The document says the system, built by the city of Los Angeles and LADWP, “failed” and left the plaintiffs homeless.

“On information and belief, the Palisade fire was an unavoidable and unavoidable result of the Pacific Palisade and its surrounding water system service area, as was its planning and construction,” the complaint states.

“This system inevitably failed, and this failure was a significant contributing factor to Plaintiffs suffering the losses alleged in this complaint.”
