The popular faith-filled historical television series based on the life of Jesus has had three episodes released in theaters ahead of its TV release. The series will continue to release new episodes on the big screen this month. According to USA Today.

“Significant Biblical events occur this season, including the death of John the Baptist and the resurrection of Lazarus from the dead,” series creator Dallas Jenkins told the show.

“These moments are better seen on a big screen, with a crowd of people.”
