‘Squad’ Democrat Claimed She Cured Woman’s Tumors With Her Hands In Autobiography

Democratic Missouri Rep. Cori Bush claimed in her 2022 autobiography that faith healing cured her of serious medical conditions.

Bush, who belongs to a group of far-left Democratic lawmakers known as “The Squad,” spoke in his 2022 autobiography, “The Forerunner,” about using faith healing to cure a toddler’s brain hemorrhage and heal a woman suffering from a tumor, the New York Post reported. report Saturday. According to the Free Beacon, Bush worked for many years as a faith healer with Kingdom Embassy International, a group that claims to have raised the dead and cured people of AIDS, cancer and paralysis. The church’s senior pastor, Charles Ndifon, said he cured Bush of COVID-19 in a 30-minute phone call.

In another example of faith healing that Bush mentions in his book, the senator claims to have given a disabled child the ability to walk.

“She suffered a brain hemorrhage shortly after birth and was unable to walk. She had never walked in her life,” Bush wrote. “I carried her from the prayer room at the back of the church to the sanctuary. ‘Walk,’ I gently told the three-year-old girl. ‘You’re going to walk,’ and she took her first step. And then another, and another. And she walked.”

“I don’t think what she’s alleging happened,” Monica Gandhi, a professor at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine, told The Washington Post. “As a physician, I would certainly encourage people to seek treatment for cancer or any other illness.”

A February poll showed Bush trailing St. Louis County Prosecutor Wesley Bell by 22 points and he may step down. The Justice Department is investigating him for allegedly misusing federal funds for private security.

Bush’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation.
