It will generally be a seller’s market with demand exceeding supply, but there should be some solid or better closers out there.
The worst teams don’t have many great starting pitchers, but they do have closers. Here are the best of them:
1. Tanner Scott, Marlins: The veteran left-hander is in great form and is believed to have interest from the Phillies, Orioles, Yankees and Dodgers, with many others vying for his services.
2. Mason Miller, Athletics: Oakland isn’t keen on trading him with five more years remaining on his contract.
3. Garrett Crochet, White Sox: The relief pitcher-turned-starter has generated plenty of interest, and teams concerned about his innings could move him to a relief role.
4. Carlos Estevez, Angels: A solid and unobtrusive type.
5. Kenley Jansen, Red Sox: A trade isn’t a sure thing right now, as they’re in a championship race, and the Dodgers and Padres like him.

6. Pete Fairbanks, Rays: Great content and fun personality.
7. Michael Kopech, White Sox: Production has yet to match a strong arm.
