Staff member of a George Soros-supported prosecutor participated in anti-ICE protest at a church

Jamael Lundy, a prosecutor connected to Minnesota’s Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty, was spotted amidst demonstrators disrupting a church service in St. Paul on Sunday.

Video footage shows Lundy chanting and raising his fist as a group burst into the Cities Church during the service. He works as an intergovernmental affairs coordinator and is also running as a Democrat for the state Legislature.

Lundy’s supervisor, backed by significant financial donations from progressive billionaires, has faced criticism for lenient deals extended to violent offenders in the past.

This incident involving Lundy comes on the heels of an announcement from the Justice Department regarding prosecution plans for all protesters, including Don Lemon, a former CNN reporter who broadcasted live from inside the church.

In a conversation with Lemon just prior to the protest’s escalation, Lundy stated, “I’m here to support the activists in the community.” He also mentioned, “If you’re going to represent people in public office, I think it’s crucial to stand with them.”

Lundy, who is married to St. Paul City Council member Annika Bowie, emphasized the importance of community action, asserting that it should remain within legal boundaries.

His campaign indicates past collaborations with Minnesota legislators, including Rep. Carlos Mariani and Rep. Betty McCollum, both from the Democratic Party.

On social media, Lundy describes himself as a proponent of public safety and criminal justice reform, but it’s unclear whether he’s under any specific investigation by the Justice Department due to his participation in the protests.

The newspaper attempted to contact Lundy for comment, but he has not replied.

Harmeet Dhillon, serving as the Justice Department’s assistant attorney general for civil rights, stated that they would seek charges against those involved in the church disruption, believed to be searching for a pastor allegedly linked to ICE in Minnesota.

In response, former President Trump labeled the protesters as “professional insurrectionists,” calling for them to face imprisonment.

Trump expressed his outrage on Truth Social about the church disturbance, labeling the agitators as trained troublemakers who should not be allowed to act with impunity.
