Vivian Kubrick’s Outrage Over Erika Kirke’s Speech
Vivian Kubrick, daughter of the iconic filmmaker Stanley Kubrick, expressed her strong disapproval of Erika Kirke on social media. She referred to Kirke’s speech as “appalling,” “inauthentic,” and “deeply disturbing,” which stirred a wave of backlash online.
“I have never in my life witnessed such a horribly fake performance as this speech by Erica,” she wrote. Despite having grown up in the entertainment industry and being surrounded by various questionable figures, she felt it was necessary to voice her concerns.
Kubrick intensified her criticism, calling Kirke a “threat to our country,” suggesting she had traits reminiscent of a “military or intelligence officer,” and described her as “definitely some kind of sociopath.”
Her incendiary remarks came during a time of heightened interest in Erica Kirke, who had recently delivered a pre-recorded video message to her supporters.
Kubrick’s visceral reaction to Kirke’s public appearances was clear: “There’s something seriously wrong with this woman. When I hear her voice and see her face, every cell in my body trembles,” she stated.
Additionally, she recalled uncomfortable moments such as when Kirke, at her husband’s memorial, said, “That young man…I forgive him!” This, to her, felt deeply unsettling.
Kubrick also criticized a video of Kirke lying atop her late husband’s body, calling it “so inappropriate” and “horribly evil.”
Moreover, she directed her focus towards Turning Point USA, an organization co-founded by Charlie Kirk, urging political leaders to sever connections with it. “Mr. President – If we want to win the midterm elections, we need to ‘kill’ @TPUSA and rally the youth of America to these honest-to-God, authentic and very bright young patriots,” she insisted, claiming no one could replace Charlie Kirk within the group.
The context of her remarks was amplified by increased attention around Erika Kirke, who chose to address her supporters via a pre-recorded video rather than attend an event in person at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas, as part of Turning Point USA’s “Make Heaven Crowded” tour.
Kirk mentioned that he was taking time off to be with family following recent events.
A few days prior, she had been present at a White House Correspondents’ Association dinner when an individual attempted to enter the venue brandishing a gun and a knife and was later charged with an assassination attempt against President Donald Trump.
In another video released recently, Kirk spoke about what she termed an “epidemic of dehumanization” in the U.S.
During her Plano speech, she reflected on her husband’s death and her own healing journey, delivering a message reminiscent of the Biblical timeline from Jesus Christ’s burial to Easter Sunday.
Charlie Kirk, who was the CEO and co-founder of Turning Point USA, was assassinated in September while giving a speech on a university campus in Utah. His memorial service drew significant national attention, with President Trump in attendance, and Erica publicly pardoned the alleged assassin.
Vivian Kubrick has a history of making headlines regarding her political views. She expressed her belief that her father would have supported Trump, which followed a controversy regarding the use of scenes from “Full Metal Jacket” in a campaign video featuring Trump, captioned, “We don’t have a military without jobs!”
