Starbucks Celebrates “The Devil Wears Prada 2” with Secret Menu

Starbucks is bringing a bit of Hollywood to your cup. To mark the release of “The Devil Wears Prada 2” on May 1, the coffee chain has unveiled a special secret menu.

This curated selection of drinks is inspired by the personalities of beloved characters from the original film, which debuted in 2006. Fans can expect unique drinks reflecting the essence of Miranda Priestly (played by Meryl Streep), Andrea “Andy” Sachs (Anne Hathaway), Nigel Kipling (Stanley Tucci), and Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt). But here’s the catch: these drinks are only available through the Starbucks app.

One standout is Miranda’s signature order — it’s an extra hot café latte with no foam, an extra shot, and non-fat milk. You can almost hear her demanding it! It’s that kind of precision that defines her character.

Then there’s Andy’s Cappuccino, crafted with oat milk, caramel, and cinnamon. Described as “simple, classy,” it hints at her journey of transformation throughout the story.

For Nigel, the drink named Doppio captures his essence with a Doppio Espresso con Panna topped with mocha sauce. The phrase “Brace yourselves…” adds a nice touch, echoing a notable line from the original film.

Finally, we have Emily’s Fave Iced Chai, an iced chai latte with almond milk and sugar-free caramel. It’s said to be enjoyed “at a glacial pace,” a clever nod to one of Miranda’s classic lines.

Erin Silvoy, Starbucks’ senior vice president of global marketing, remarked that Starbucks has long been part of “The Devil Wears Prada” universe. She expressed excitement about reviving that connection and offering fans a way to indulge during their coffee breaks.

These drinks won’t be around forever, so fans should try them at participating locations while they can.

This secret menu is just one aspect of the collaboration between Starbucks and “The Devil Wears Prada 2.” Starting April 24, visitors to the Starbucks Reserve store in New York’s Empire State Building can find limited edition copies of Runway Magazine, Miranda Priestly’s publication.

Lil Bryer, Disney’s vice president of partnerships, noted the enthusiastic energy resulting from this collaboration. There’s a sense of anticipation for the innovative, themed experiences Starbucks is introducing to delight fans globally.
