Next month, the New York State Board of Regents is expected to adopt “gender-neutral” rules for school sports that encourage mixed-gender teams. I allow it Transgender children can play on teams of their choice. This counts as another part of the full-court coverage aimed at quelling dissent over biological boys competing in (and dominating) women’s sports.
And, of course, to silence any questioning of the larger “trans-orthodoxy,” including claims that children should be rushed through medical and even surgical transitions.
Witness the heap on Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman’s ban on transgender girls and women from participating in girls’ and women’s sports at county-run facilities: State Attorney General Tish James said the ban called it transphobic and blatantly illegal, and said he intended to sue to stop it.
She hasn’t done so yet, but the New York Civil Liberties Union has.
Parents at Community Education Council 2 here in Manhattan voted in favor of a resolution calling on the city Department of Education to review gender guidelines for girls’ sports, but they are facing backlash in their personal and professional lives.
Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine rescinded her award after CEC2 parent member Manpreet Boparai voted in favor of the resolution.
and The party kicked gay, single father and LGBT activist Craig Slutzkin off Community Board 5 while he was running for board president, calling him a “transphobe” for questioning the party’s policies.
All of this follows the Biden administration’s pathological push to rewrite Title IX to force “gender identity” madness into schools across the country.
It’s all in the name of “fairness” and “equity”, but it’s the other way around.
During the Board’s public comment period, we call on New Yorkers to join the discussion and speak out against this insanity.
Don’t let progressive power plays lead to victory. Girls should be given a league of their own.
