Exclusive: Some state legislatures and companies will roll back key diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies in place in nearly every major U.S. industry, including the military, according to experts and Republican attorneys general. Preparations are underway.
Last week, the topic of DEI was in the news again after a heated exchange between lawmakers during a markup on the “DEI Dismantling” bill in the House. Progressive firebrand Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) slammed Republican lawmakers who called DEI policies “suppression.”
“There was no oppression of white people in this country,” Crockett said. “Tell me which white people were dragged from their homes. Which of them were dragged all the way across the ocean and told they were going to work, that they were going to steal your wife, that they were going to rape your wife. Wives. , that didn't happen.
