Rep. LaHood condemned Kirk’s assassination as a shocking act of political violence, emphasizing that no individual should lose their life over political beliefs. He praised Kirk’s dedication to free speech and his work to empower young Americans, reaffirming the resolution’s purpose to honor Kirk’s impactful commitment to the nation.
