Stefon Diggs’ Viral Boat Video No Concern for Patriots
The New England Patriots seem unfazed by Stefon Diggs’ viral boat video that recently made waves on social media.
Despite the footage featuring Diggs alongside several women, including rapper Cardi B and some pink substances that sparked chatter online, the team has no plans to release him. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Patriots have “high hopes” for Diggs and are ready to compensate him generously, especially after he made a strong recovery from a torn ACL sustained during his time with the Texans last season.
Diggs, who is 31, signed a lucrative three-year deal worth up to $69 million back in March.
He returned to team activities on Monday after skipping voluntary training last week.
“Diggs gives them a pink buggy and tells them not to do it all?”
WR1. There’s no question. Probably the best WR1 ever.
It’s worth noting that many players were absent from the OTA sessions, and Diggs didn’t break any league rules. That said, his weekend escapades certainly drew attention.
On Sunday, Cardi B took to Instagram, sharing candid photos and a video of herself dancing for the wide receiver.
Patriots’ head coach Mike Vrabel commented on the boat video in a recent press briefing, asserting that he talks to his players regularly about making wise choices on and off the field.
“We want to make great decisions,” Vrabel stated.
As he arrived at OTAs, Diggs greeted reporters with a wave, expressing contentment with the situation as he joined practice in Foxborough.
Patriots’ offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels addressed reporters about Diggs’ earlier absence, emphasizing that unpredictable events are part of the offseason.
“As a coach, you always want them here,” McDaniels noted, mentioning that he doesn’t have major concerns about Diggs. “I know he remains engaged with the playbook.”
