ESPN critic Stephen A. Smith returned LeBron James' volley on Wednesday after the Los Angeles Lakers star fired a shot at the station on “The Pat McAfee Show” about the conflict earlier this month.

James chuckled Smith as someone who was on the “Taylor Swift Tour Run” which describes a fiery moment at the crypto.com arena. He also enjoyed Smith and he didn't want to deal with that moment at first, but he said that the video went viral and that he just did it because he had to do it.

The Lakers player said Smith “missed the whole point” of the discussion. James said he is defending not only his son, Bronnie James, but also his teammates after criticising Smith for joining the NBA in the first place.

Smith returned to James later on Wednesday to him. My podcast. He said James was “full of it” and “lied again” on McAfee's show.

“I didn't know he was going to roll up to me,” Smith said. “I didn't know, but when he said what he had to say, I wasn't in a position to give some sort of retort without making a scene. It was fresh from the timeout in the third quarter. It was walking on the basketball court. It was walking on national television.
