Sports commentator Stephen A. Smith claimed he was fed up with Democrats, doing a 180-degree turn and now saying he regrets voting for Kamala Harris.
Smith admitted before November's election that he had never voted Republican in his life, but said there was now enough “tolerance” to give Republicans a chance to win votes. .
He told Mark Levine on FOX News. smith said He is tired of the Democratic Party and its “fear mongering.”
“I voted Democratic, but I have to say this right now: I don't like the fact that I voted. I don't like what I see,” Smith said Saturday.
Smith went on to criticize Democrats for their overall campaign strategy.
“I don't want to hear, 'Oh, we're talking about the law.' No one is above the law. No one is above the law.' But you go out and , forgive my son and try to blame it on others,” he continued.
The sports analyst added: “I'm no longer interested in hearing fear-mongering about who people shouldn't vote for.”
“Why don't you come up with a plan to explain why we should vote for you?” he asked Democrats rhetorically.
“We're not just thinking about America, we're thinking about America and prioritizing what's happening in this country with the devastated and the disenfranchised and everyone else in between.” And that's what's best for America…That's not true.' It's a crime for American politicians, commanders in chief, senators, congressmen to have that kind of thinking,'' Smith said. spoke.
If Republicans were to actually campaign on this issue, as they have in past elections, I would say, “I'm all for it. That's what I want for the American people. That's what I want for this country.”
Smith even said he might vote for the winner in 2024 if Trump is allowed to run again, but he still has “a lot to prove.”
“My concerns about Donald Trump, and the reason I voted against him for Kamala Harris, was because I felt he would be divisive. and that it would take precedence over governing our country. That was my concern,” Smith exclaimed.
“It's not just loyalty and allegiance to him. It's about doing the job representing the best interests of the American people and not yourself, and engaging with youth trends and tweeting all the time,” Really… don't go after irrelevant people, in the grand scheme of things,” Smith concluded. “You do something like that to show that you're an adult in the room. I don't think anyone can remove Donald Trump at this particular moment.”
Still, if history is any guide, Smith is unlikely to vote Republican anytime soon. After all, he's never experienced this before.
