Stephen Miller gave the White House Press Corps “civic lessons” about presidential powers to please conservatives during a news briefing on Thursday.

“You want to say very harsh things about some of our media friends,” he began. “It's true that many people in this room couldn't cover the fact that for four years Joe Biden was mentally incompetent and didn't run the country.”
“And the point of many people in this room was using this story is that Elon doesn't understand how government works.

“The president is elected by the entire American people. He is the only official in the entire government elected by the nation, is he right? The judge has been appointed. Members of Congress are elected at the district or state level. . There is a clause known as the Constitution, Article 2 Constitutional Rights Clause. To the Government.”
Miller went on to explain what he felt was a real threat.
“The threat to democracy, actually existential threat to democracy, is the unelected bureaucracy of lifelong civil servants whom they believe they will not answer anyone. [sic] They believe that no matter what Americans vote for, they can set their own agenda, and they can do whatever they want without consequences,” he said.
Miller continued to call officials from the FBI, the Environmental Protection Agency and Department of Justice, “don't want to change,” despite Americans voting in favour of radical reforms.
“What President Trump is doing is exclude federal officials who ignore democracy by not implementing his legitimate orders, the will of the entire American people.” He concluded.
