Stephen Miller contradicts DOJ court docs on man mistakenly deported

White House aide Stephen Miller contradicted many statements made by the Trump administration in court, claiming that the Maryland man was not mistakenly deported to Salvador prison.

Miller’s comments came after the Justice Department said Salvadra national and Maryland resident Kilmer Abrego Garcia was deported for “administrative errors” as a judge protected him from deportation on a 2019 order.

The professional Justice Department lawyer who made the disclosure was later suspended after Attorney General Pam Bondy said he had not “hardly” defended the Trump administration.

But Miller said Monday that lawyer Elles Roubeni was suspended due to a “wrong” line.

“No one was mistakenly deported anywhere. That’s a big fact that all of you, most of you, are wrong. No one was sent anywhere.

It was submitted by Rouvenigi that Abrego Garcia had been mistakenly deported, but other Trump administration officials have declared oaths that he was mistakenly removed from the country.

“The operation that led to Abrego Garcia’s removal into El Salvador was designed to include only individuals who have no obstacles to removal. … ICE was aware of this grant for withholding tax for Abrego Garcia’s removal from the United States. Declaration submitted last month.

“Through administrative errors, Abrego Garcia was removed from the US to El Salvador. This was surveillance.”

Bondi did not refer to the contents of Reuveni’s filings when discussing his suspension.

“He took administrative leave by Todd Blanche on Saturday, and I said firmly on the first day. I issued a memo saying you’re going to be vigorously defending on behalf of the United States. Our client on this issue was homeland security. He shouldn’t have argued.

“We need to have vigorous discussions on behalf of our clients.”
