Stephen Miller dismisses CNN's 'silly question' regarding ICE racial profiling

Stephen Miller’s Tension with CNN Host over Immigration Policies

During a recent interview with CNN, Stephen Miller, a senior advisor to the White House, dismissed a question about allegations of racial profiling in immigration raids as a “stupid question.” The conversation took place with host Boris Sanchez, who was discussing President Donald Trump’s decision to send National Guard troops to Illinois to support U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facilities.

Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker spoke out against this plan, labeling it an “invasion” from the Trump administration. He accused ICE agents of racially profiling individuals. Sanchez pressed Miller about Pritzker’s claims, suggesting that the immigration crackdown may be targeting people of color.

Miller responded with laughter, saying, “Oh, what a stupid question.” He went on to argue that undocumented immigrants are taking jobs and resources from various demographics, emphasizing that they are also committing crimes.

Sanchez tried to clarify Miller’s stance on immigration policy but was interrupted. Miller insisted again that the question was foolish, rather than engage with a straightforward answer.

Later in the interview, Sanchez challenged Miller’s description of ICE protesters as “terrorists.” Miller argued that calling them that might actually downplay the seriousness of their actions, citing ongoing violence against ICE officers and the disruption caused by protesters.

Description of confrontations continued, with Miller claiming protesters were physically obstructing ICE agents and threatening violence, arguing it was beyond mere demonstrations. Sanchez then questioned the implications of a future Democratic president potentially sending National Guard troops into red states under similar circumstances. Miller sarcastically replied, alluding to the contrast between images of peaceful protests and the actual violence he described.
