Miller Criticizes Democrats on Immigration Enforcement
Stephen Miller, Deputy Policy Chief of Staff at the White House, expressed strong disapproval of Democrats following a conversation between House Minority Leader Hakim Jeffries and President Donald Trump’s administration regarding immigration enforcement strategies.
During his remarks, Jeffries emphasized that the Trump administration should focus on “deporting violent felons” rather than, as he put it, “appearing at Little League baseball games, churches, schools, and hospitals.” Miller voiced his frustration on “Ingraham’s Angle,” questioning the Democrats’ boldness in criticizing the Trump administration after allegedly allowing dangerous criminals into the country.
“Can you believe taking a safety lecture from the party that has let child rapists and murderers into our nation?” Miller asked. “Countless little girls have been harmed, assaulted, or worse because of the illegal aliens they’ve brought here!”
He continued, “And now they want to teach us about public safety? They are responsible for the suffering of thousands of Americans!” Furthermore, he pointed out that Democrats manage sanctuary cities that protect illegal immigrants who have committed serious crimes from deportation.
Miller referenced a recent incident where an off-duty border patrol agent was ambushed and shot in New York City during a robbery attempt involving two illegal immigrants. “These perpetrators were arrested, let go, arrested again, and then released due to policies designed to shield these criminals!” he stated. “Their policies are malicious; they want our citizens to suffer and have even weaponized migration.”
Adding to this discussion, former Border Patrol Chief Tom Homan criticized sanctuary cities at a press conference in New York City, asserting, “Sanctuary cities provide protection for criminals. President Trump won’t stand for this.” He stressed the importance of Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem focusing efforts on apprehending illegal aliens.
In terms of numbers, Border Patrol agents reported zero illegal immigrants being released into the U.S. in May. According to Customs and Border Protection (CBP), this trend continued in June, contrasting sharply with the Biden administration, which had allowed 62,000 immigrants in May 2024 and 27,766 the following month.
