Please pray for California.

Hollywood journalists want nothing more than a Resistance sequel, but so far it hasn't happened.

The fire broke out Tuesday morning in the Highlands neighborhood, which is surrounded by hills above the Pacific Coast Highway. Palisades Drive is the only road that connects Highland to the rest of the city. Traffic jams soon developed as residents evacuated the area.

Some residents abandoned their cars, causing problems for first responders rushing toward the fire.

Left-handed Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass had more important business to attend to in Africa: the inauguration of Ghana's new president, but local news crews spotted a well-known local actor in attendance. steve guttenberg.

Come back, Ricky!

The Golden Globe Awards handed out trophies on Sunday night, but a smaller audience than usual was there to see it.

This year's TV broadcast, hosted by Nikki Glazer, hit a snag. Only 9.3 million viewersdown 2% from last year, when last-minute substitute host Jo Koy had disastrous results.

These numbers don't seem terrible, but for a show just five years ago. Attracted an audience twice that amount. Thanks to 2020 host Ricky Gervais' brutal skewering of Hollywood's elite, some stars may still be in therapy for it…

Orangeman Are you really tired?

Hollywood journalists want nothing more than a Resistance sequel, but so far it hasn't happened.

Early in the 2016 presidential campaign, stars united against President Donald Trump. Sarah Silverman was one of the first to play the Hitler Card(TM) against Trump. Failed. Madonna managed to avoid a Secret Service knock on her door after saying she had a dream about blowing up the White House.

Now, with President Trump's landslide victory on November 5th, Celebrity Nation could be performing Orange Man Bad's greatest hits. For now, the band has remained fairly quiet.

hollywood reporter I lamented that reality. In a recent editorial. Now, Variety picks up the theme and reads between the lines that the true blue resistance is trying to pry it open.

Really. Please wait a moment. I'll come.

“Entertainment executives want to work with President Trump. The stars who work for them may have a different idea,” the headline reads. The article cited as evidence transgender actor Carla Sofia Gascon's speech at the Golden Globe Awards for her award-winning film “Emilia Perez.”

If you squint, you can see the writer double and triple-cross his fingers.

“I am who I am…not who you want me to be.” Talk about rebellion! Her message was about the dignity and rights of transgender people, but given the timing, two weeks before the presidential inauguration It was at an awards ceremony that was previously televised around the world. Donald Trump, you may hear another message in that: resistance is not going away.

More than four years ago, stars actively wished President Trump dead. Now, to glean anything remotely, you have to read between the lines of the award ceremony speeches. Looks like resistance…
