Steve Witkoff Claims It’s ‘Nearly Impossible’ For Iran ‘To Rebuild’ Nuclear Weapons Program

US Strikes Impact on Iranian Nuclear Program

A recent US special mission discussed on Fox News’ “Ingraham’s Angle” indicated that reviving the nuclear weapons program at a site targeted in a strike is “nearly impossible.” This follows strikes on Iranian nuclear sites in Natanz, Isfahan, and Fordow.

Reports suggest that the damage from these strikes may have only set back Iran’s program by a few months, as key components remained intact. Laura Ingraham questioned the assessment of the attacks, pressing an envoy, Steve Witkoff, on initial reports of the situation.

“So, your conclusion is that Iran couldn’t resume its nuclear enrichment program in just a few months?” Ingraham asked. Witkoff responded cautiously, explaining that specific facilities are necessary to complete the initial concentration process and that once enriched material reaches 90%, it undergoes additional processing.

President Trump characterized the US strikes against three Iranian sites as “very successful,” stating that they involved a “full payload of bombs.” Witkoff noted that the ground facilities in Natanz were “completely destroyed” and indicated significant damage at the Isfahan site as well, asserting that Fordow was likely “expunged.”

Witkoff elaborated that the strikes severely impacted critical centrifuges, suggesting that reviving the program would be exceptionally difficult. However, other media outlets, including Reuters and The New York Times, reported that damage was minimal and indicated that, if Iran moved quickly, it could develop a nuclear bomb in about three months.

When discussing leaks from the Trump administration, Witkoff expressed his disapproval, indicating such actions should be investigated, as they are “outrageous.” He emphasized the seriousness, stating that it could jeopardize future actions and called for accountability.

Two days after the US strikes, Iran retaliated by attacking a US Air Force base in Qatar. Trump revealed on social media that Iran had forewarned him about the attack, confirming that there were no American casualties and minimal damage inflicted on the base.

Later, Trump announced a ceasefire between Iran and Israel, urging both nations to respect the agreement. However, reports surfaced that Iran had fired a missile, breaking the ceasefire, to which Trump expressed confusion over the actions taken.
