President Donald Trump's mission to Russia and Ukraine says he doesn't think Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to invade Europe.
Envoy Steve Witkoff made a statement on “Fox News Sunday” during his Sunday morning appearance, commenting on Putin's motives on “large scale.”
“Now I've been asking my opinion on what Putin's motivations are doing on a larger scale, and I just said I don't think he wants to take everything in Europe,” Witkov said.
“This is a completely different situation than World War II. There was no NATO,” he added. “I will take him with his words in this sense.”

Comments are that Witkov will meet with the Russian and Ukrainian delegation for an indirect ceasefire meeting in Saudi Arabia. The Trump administration hopes to mediate a bigger peace deal.
“I think Saudi Arabia will see some real progress on Monday, especially as it affects the Black Sea ceasefire on ships between the two countries. And then you will naturally be drawn to a full fire ceasefire,” he said on Sunday.

Moscow spokesman Dmitry Peskov emphasized that there are many obstacles that could prevent peace agreements.
“We're just at the beginning of this road,” he told reporters this weekend.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the Russian attacks included 147 drones, of which 97 were shot down and 25 people were unable to reach the target.

The Ukrainians at the scene of the Kiev attack investigated the damage caused to their homes and neighbours on Sunday morning. Many have been lightly paring upcoming ceasefire talks, pointing to burned-out houses destroyed by drone attacks, saying these are more indicative of Russia's true intentions.
