Longtime pastor, author, and radio host Chuck Swindle On Sunday, he announced he would step down as pastor of Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco, Texas, and would deliver his final sermon in October.

“This decision is not one I have made lightly,” he said. “Every moment spent with you has shaped me, taught me, and filled my heart with joy. Together, we have built a vibrant community founded on faith, hope and love. We have shared countless memories, celebrated milestones and faced challenges together.”
“My role may change, but my commitment to our mission and vision will never fade. [My wife] Cynthia and I intend to worship with you all every Sunday. This will always be our church family.”
According to Christian PostSwindle had been the senior pastor of the megachurch since 1998.
Although he is retiring from pastorate, Swindle said his “sole focus” will be his long-running broadcast ministry, Insight for Living, which he said has been “a vibrant part of Cynthia and my lives for more than 45 years.”
“I encourage you to continue living the values we cherish, to support one another, and to continue loving your neighbors as Christ loved us. Remember that the church is not a building but a community of believers. I trust that you will continue to shine in the world,” he added.
Born in El Campo, Texas in 1934, Mr. Swindle graduated cum laude from Dallas Theological Seminary in 1963 and has served in several churches for decades.
In July 1979, Swindle and his wife launched Insight for Living Ministries, a Bible study radio program that has expanded to all 50 states and across the United States. 2,100 stores It is scheduled to be released worldwide by April 2020.
His prolific pastoral work led to him being inducted into the National Religious Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2000.

Jonathan Murphy, a Northern Irishman who served as pastoral director at Dallas Theological Seminary, was selected to succeed Swindell as the church's new senior pastor.
