Whoopi Goldberg told her co-stars on ABC’s “The View” on Thursday that “all Republicans” should stop calling former President Donald Trump “the president.”
“Can I say something that’s been bothering me for a long time? It’s been bothering me for a long time!” said Whoopi Goldberg. “Republicans, please stop calling this guy the president. He’s not the president. He’s a former president. No one can see the future. And neither can donors. You can’t buy the presidency. You can pour all you want into it, but it’s not for sale. So please stop calling him the president. He’s not the president yet. He’s a former president and all that comes with it.”
Co-host Sunny Hostin added, “Especially since he’s with the current president. Alyssa, I agree with everything you said in terms of what we can expect. But I think we can certainly expect Donald Trump to lie a lot. He’s lied over 30,000 times during his time as president.”
She added: “My biggest concern is that they’re not fact-checking him in real time.”
