Stopping ICE with 'micro-intifada': Good's group provided training in de-arrest and disrupting police vehicles before her passing

US ICE Officer Fatally Shoots Anti-ICE Activist

An incident last week in Minneapolis ended with the shooting of anti-ICE activist Renee Nicole Good. Videos from the January 7th altercation show Good blocking traffic with her vehicle, seemingly to obstruct federal law enforcement. Federal agents repeatedly instructed her to exit the car, but Good disregarded these commands. Instead, she accelerated toward the agents, prompting the ICE officer to fire in self-defense.

In spite of this evidence, some Democrats and liberal media outlets have portrayed Good as an innocent victim of overzealous federal authorities. This narrative may face challenges as investigations reveal more about her affiliations and the strategies of the anti-ICE movement, particularly the concept of a “micro-intifada.”

Local reports indicate that Good was deeply involved with an anti-ICE group, which focuses on tracking and disrupting immigration enforcement activities. This organization is known for sharing tips on social media about evading arrests and advocating for revolutionary actions.

Neighbors shared with media that Good regularly participated in group meetings and underwent significant training within this activist network. Notably, Good herself acknowledged her connections to this group and admitted to following ICE agents on several occasions prior to the incident.

An extremist manual linked to the group included instructions on how to aid someone facing arrest, suggesting using physical crowd interference and encouraging protestors to surround officers detaining individuals. The manual implied that such actions might deter law enforcement from proceeding with arrests.

Additionally, the group has utilized the term “intifada,” which is often associated with resistance movements, to articulate their actions and beliefs. Posts from this organization have called for collective resistance against perceived oppressive structures, suggesting a broader, more coordinated approach to their activities.
