On Friday's broadcast of HBO's “Real Time,” California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) said California's law mandating gender-neutral toy departments is something “department stores have been supporting us with” and that “they've already done it.” We are moving in that direction.” But he understands “how they can be weaponized.”
Host Bill Maher said, “I think we have too many regulations and laws…and this means that if you're a department store with more than 500 employees, you have to have a gender-neutral toy department.'' I think he is saying that it must be done.''
Mr. Newsom responded: “That's interesting, because department stores are coming to us and advocating for it. They were making us — they were already moving in that direction. I was there.”
Maher asked, “Did they want you to make laws about them?”

However, I understand how it can be misused and good people may oppose it, but if the top priorities are homelessness, housing, crime issues, quality of life, and regulatory and tax issues. are all top priorities.
