Stunning depths of Christian faith revealed in new film, ‘The 21’

The heartbreaking new film tells of beheadings of 21 Coptotic Christians at the hands of ISIS Islamic extremists a decade ago.

Still, the film simply entitled “The 21” tells a heart-pounding story of the incredible faith of the martyrs, how they were hardworking to the end.

Producer Mandy Hart said, “The number of nanosecond opportunities and men who had to save their lives in 40 days of captivity, and I don't know what I imagine. All 21 people. was faithful at the end.”

John Schneider, the fame of the “Duke Hazard” stands strong in his faith: “God is doing something.”

The Hart and the More Productions team unveiled a 13-minute film at the International Religious Freedom Summit in Washington, DC last week. It was a reminder of how the events of February 15, 2015 shocked the world. Islamic extremists filmed the cruel murders, which shocked the world because of the pure horror and two of its staging.

As a way to relieve fear and strengthen the spirit of hope, 21″ tells the story through animation – confusion with actual ISIS propaganda footage.

But it's the image of animation that has a greater impact. Animation is an orthodox iconography style. Paintings of saints and Jesus, iconostas, screens in front of the altar, naves, sanctuaries, domes of all Orthodox churches in the world.

Hart said, “I knew there was a need for a project that reflected the Coptic tradition, particularly the cultural characteristics of its iconography.”

She called its “function” and its architecture and community, and “the way that symbolism, colour, shape and the iconography were actually related to creating icons.”

“The fact that all of them were faithful to the end is just amazing.”

In a recent episode of “Lighthouse Faith” podcastproducer Mandy Hart spoke more about the transformational power of how to make “21” and learning about what these men endure for their faith.

They were simple Egyptian workers who worked in Libya, and that members of ISIS would entice them to condemn their faith in Jesus Christ, the only condition for ensuring their freedom. I requested it.

The man refused. For a month and a half, the man was tortured and abused. They were then put in orange jumpsuits and paraded into sandy hills where masked knife-wielding extremists lined up them and took their lives.

Hart said the most wild part of the story is not actually in the new film.

“They were actually beheaded one by one,” she said. “And ISIS did that… to be killed in that horrible way, it would persuade at least one man to break away to save himself by denial of Christ, and they No one did. One.”

“Talking about loyalty is one thing. Seeing it demonstrated in close-up is another.”

Hart added emotionally. “There are no words [about] Depth of [their] faith. And it was also very challenging and convicted. I can't imagine myself in that position. And the fact that all of them were faithful to the end is just astounding. ”

Hart intentionally did not view ISIS footage of the beheading. It was too much to take. But coach Todd Polson did.

Faith is important for Notre Dame football coaches and Catholic converts: “No need to be embarrassed about it.”

He told Fox News, “The original video made by ISIS is surreal. I've only seen it once, but…[it is] It burned in my memory forever. It's just as heartbreaking as it is exciting. The sacrifice of martyrs is so perfect that it is inspiring. It is one thing to talk about their loyalty. It's different to see it demonstrated in close-ups. ”

Polson also said, “Many of the martyr's families play original ISIS videos in their homes on the loop. One of the complaints they have is that “21” is not violent enough. That's what it is. Their men passed by. ”

This is new information.
