Stunning video captures federal agents re-arresting Subway sandwich worker after he hit an officer with a hero in DC

WASHINGTON – Justice Department employees, accused of hurling subway sandwiches at federal agents, were re-arrested by multiple U.S. armed teams during a dramatic operation on Wednesday night, as new video evidence emerged.

Shawn Charles Dunn, 37, was taken into custody again inside an apartment about a mile northwest of the White House, facing a felony assault charge.

The White House shared footage of the incident on X Thursday evening, referring to it as “Night Routine: Operation makes DC safe again.”

In a surprising revelation, Attorney General Pam Bondy disclosed that Dunn was employed by the DOJ Criminal Division.

In the same announcement, Bondy confirmed that Dunn had been terminated from his role as an international affairs expert, where he assisted in extraditing criminal suspects to the United States.

“This incident highlights the deep state we’ve been contending with for seven months while trying to realign the DOJ,” AG Bondy stated. “You can’t work in this administration if you undermine our government and law enforcement.”

US attorney Janine Piro remarked that Dunn found the situation amusing. However, it’s hard to see how he’d find it funny now that he’s facing felony charges for assaulting law enforcement.

Dunn had previously labeled a group of customs and border agents as “fascists,” and it seemed his frustrations, possibly fueled by alcohol, led to the sandwich incident after his initial arrest on Sunday.

On Monday, Trump amplified federal efforts to assist DC police in tackling violent crime, emphasizing federal oversight of local police stations and the mobilization of the National Guard.

Dunn reportedly threw his sandwiches around the intersection of 14th and U-Avenues in DC, not far from a recent tragic incident where a 16-year-old girl was killed over a dispute about sweet and sour sauce. Nearby, a crowd was encouraging federal agents to dismantle vehicle checkpoints on Wednesday night.
