‘Sugar brother’ Kevin Morris loaned Hunter Biden $6.5M for debts, back taxes; more than previously estimated

Kevin Morris loaned Hunter Biden about $6.5 million, more than $1 million more than originally estimated and discussed, his lawyers said in a letter this week.

Fox News obtained a letter from Kevin Morris' attorney to the House Oversight Committee this week. The letter provides a breakdown of the loan and when Mr. Morris wants it repaid.

Mr. Morris was subpoenaed to appear before a committee to give a transcript of the interview as part of the House impeachment inquiry.

Morris testified in an interview that he loaned Hunter Biden at least $5 million to begin paying his tax debt.

Sources told Fox News that Morris and his attorney made estimates during the meeting and promised to follow up on the exact numbers loaned to his eldest son.

The letter states that the amount is $1.6 million more than Morris estimated during the interview.

Morris gave Hunter Biden a loan of approximately $1.4 million on October 13, 2021. According to the letter, Hunter Biden was to pay $500,000 by October 1, 2026, and the remaining $417,634 with interest by October 1, 2027.

A few days later, Morris loaned Hunter Biden $2.6 million and directed him to pay it back by October 1, 2029. Morris' attorney said the loan was “used to pay Mr. Biden's taxes, among other debts.” It's the I.R.S. ”

“Each of these notes carries a 5% interest rate and payment deadline, as negotiated by Mr. Morris and Mr. Biden's separate attorneys,” the letter said. state.
