Suicide case becomes murder investigation after police allegedly find ‘Can I kill an illegal human’ on fiancé’s Google search

Texas police say A man kills his fiancé and tries to set the death as a suicide, but fails to investigate his Google search.

In January, police found that the body of 27-year-old Louis Banos Norbert shot him in the face by shooting a rifle in the arm in an apartment he shared with 31-year-old Ty Vaughn in Baytown, a suburb of Houston.

He is said to have been repeatedly declared about the status of immigrants in Norbert.

Court documents Reviewed by KTRK-TV Vaughn tells police that he was caught up in an argument with Norbert and told him he left the apartment before he found him dead.

When police investigated surveillance video and interviewed neighbors, they said they determined that Vaughn was in the apartment when they allegedly left. Neighbors told police that they heard two gunshots just after seeing him walking back to their apartment.

About 22 minutes later, Vaughn told Norbert, “Babe? Baby Why are you not texting?!?” 71 more minutes later, he called 911.

“My spouse is dead. Help me. My life is over,” the man told police dispatcher.

Police say Norbert was found with a gunshot through his eyes, a rifle supported in his arm, and a photo of the couple was torn apart.

Police say when he interviewed Vaughn, he was said to have been repeatedly declared his immigrant status in Norbert. They also discovered that he searched on Google on his phone for “Can I kill illegal humans?”

Vaughn was arrested and had a $500,000 bond set.

Some of the neighbors told Ktrk that they had never even heard of the violent incident until they approached the news station. Ktrk's reporter had expressed sadness to Vaughan before his arrest, but he replied, “What is that?”
