SummerSlam 2025: Jey Uso and Roman Reigns defeat Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed

Summer Slam Tag Team Match Recap

A tag team match featuring two heated rivals unfolded one Saturday night at Summer Slam held at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Roman Reigns, alongside Jay Uso, faced off against Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, who were backed by Paul Heyman in their corner.

Ultimately, Reigns and Uso emerged victorious over Breakker and Reed in a match filled with intense action and some significant blows.

This marked Reigns’ first match since Heyman’s betrayal at WrestleMania 41, following a rivalry with Seth Rollins. Breakker and Reed aligned themselves with Rollins and Heyman in the aftermath, creating a tense atmosphere.

The match kicked off with an all-out brawl, showcasing the pain and rivalry each side harbored. At one point, a former Bloodline member got a bit too playful, but Breakker quickly interrupted that, dragging Reigns outside. This was quickly followed by Reed launching himself off the top rope with a splash. Despite the chaos, Breakker and Reed regained control.

As the match progressed, Breakker’s aggressive moves included an elbow drop that took Reigns out of the equation for a moment. “I’m not dealing with this,” Breakker grumbled while continuing his assault on Reigns.

Reed and Breakker orchestrated their attacks, effectively limiting the chances for Uso to tag in. Although Breakker attempted a high-risk move, he miscalculated and missed. Reed tried to prevent a tag but failed to stop Uso in time.

To keep momentum, Uso showed resilience, hitting Reed with a DDT, which allowed him to tag Reigns back into the fray. The “Original Tribal Chief” quickly shifted the energy of the match as he took control.

Reigns put his full athleticism on display, even executing an impressive move where he collided with both Breakker and Reed outside the ring.

Despite Reigns landing two Superman punches, the duo of Breakker and Reed managed to maintain their upper hand—at least for a while. Uso found himself back in the mix but faced constant resistance from the opposing team.

In a surprising turnaround, both Reigns and Uso hit their finishing move on Reed but couldn’t secure the pin. Breakker attempted to leverage Uso for a powerful spear but ended up feeling the impact himself instead.

In the climactic moments, Uso landed a formidable spear followed by an Uso splash, sealing the win.

The next challenge for Breakker and Reed remains uncertain, but there’s speculation about a looming confrontation with Rollins’ dangerous alliance.
