The hosts of “The View” seem to agree with co-host Sunny Hostin's unbridled rant about the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol.
Sunny Hostin made a bizarre comparison to express her anger that some people aren't outraged enough about the alleged violence by President-elect Donald Trump's supporters in 2021.
“I say no! January 6th was one of the worst moments in American history, so please don't move on!”
“I think we need to find some moral clarity in this country. All I remember is that after January 6th, you had people like this.” [Republican Senate Leader] “Mitch McConnell is placing the blame for January 6th squarely on Donald Trump's shoulders,” Hostin said.
“And you start to see people backing away from that and losing their moral center. I'm sure Condoleezza Rice on this show said, 'You know, we need to move on from January 6th. “I think he said, 'There is,'” she continued. “I say no! We don't have to move on because January 6th was one of the worst moments in American history!”
The audience applauded in agreement with her exclamation.
“When you think about the worst moments in American history, like World War II, what happened in the Holocaust, chattel slavery,” Hostin added. “No matter what race you are, if you forget, the past becomes prologue, so let's never forget.”
The video of Hostin's comments is widely distributed on social media.
Although Democrats have tried to make the events of January 6 the center of their case against President Trump in the 2024 presidential election, polls show that Americans are more concerned about illegal immigration and the economy, especially those related to high inflation. was found to be much higher.
