Former NFL star Jim McMahon has hinted he might run for president alongside former All-Pro offensive lineman Kyle Turley to promote cannabis advocacy and raise awareness about the SAFER Banking Act.
McMahon and Turley are co-founders of the cannabis brand Revenant.
Turley visited New Hampshire last week and slammed presidential candidates Nikki Haley and Dean Phillips over the bill, which was introduced in the U.S. Senate last year.

If passed, the bill would provide “protections for federally regulated financial institutions that provide services to state-licensed marijuana businesses.”
“We’re trying to get this message out about this cannabis plant and fair banking,” the two-time Super Bowl champion told FOX News Digital. “We are trying to bring awareness not only to the cannabis industry, but also to the deteriorating situation in this country.
“We’re going to make a little bit of noise. We might get some votes just on the cannabis part. We’re going to have fun with it. We’re going to try to grow our brand and get people to know about this plant. Let’s see what happens. ”
While there doesn’t appear to be a vote on the McMahon vs. Turley ticket, the former quarterback told FOX News Digital what he plans to change as president.

“If it were me, I would just close one border and then go find all the people who came here illegally,” he said. “It’s ridiculous. We’re paying all this money as taxpayers and it’s not helping us at all. We’re sending all that money overseas. No one knows where we’re sending it.” I don’t know, but this money is not being spent here.”The state.

“Look at California. They receive the most money each year for homelessness and have the worst homeless population in the country, or perhaps the world. Too many things are going wrong. I We have to stop the crazy spending and money printing. And let’s close our borders and clean house.”
A U.S. Senate committee passed the bill in September. An earlier version of the bill, known as the SAFE Banking Act, failed to gain a vote in the Senate, despite being passed by House members more than six times.
