Support Mayor Eric Adams for re-election, President Trump, and do what's best for NYC.

If President Trump considers entering this year’s mayoral election, he should really think about supporting Eric Adams—the city certainly deserves it.

Adams has shown a strong commitment to public safety and pride in the community, making a solid case for a second term at Gracie Mansion.

He’s faced off against left-wing extremists in Albany who wanted to legalize theft, as well as city council members pushing for bail reforms and prison releases.

Earlier this year, New York achieved its lowest shooting rate in recorded history, which, well, wasn’t just by chance.

Now, there are concerns that socialist candidate Zoran Mamdani could undo that progress.

Activists calling for “refund the police” have impacted the NYPD’s effectiveness, risking the city’s business environment and safety.

I think it’s crucial that we address these issues. But trusting Andrew Cuomo, who has never bested Mamdani, doesn’t seem like the right approach.

Cuomo’s Mixed Signals

Reports say that Cuomo is heavily campaigning for support in the mayoral race. But honestly, we should take caution here—Cuomo hasn’t been exactly reliable.

Consider how he handled the vaccine situation during his first term. Initially skeptical about “Trump’s vaccine,” he later imposed mandates when the Democrats claimed it as theirs.

Cuomo has flip-flopped on major issues like fracking, once in support before turning against it. He backed charter schools, then opposed them. Now, he claims he’ll “fix” the laws that have contributed to rising crime, without acknowledging he made mistakes.

His recent interactions have felt contradictory, as he denied seeking confrontation with Trump while simultaneously pledging to combat Trump’s agenda.

If you’re invested in the future of the city, it’s clear that support should go to Eric Adams.

Adams has bravely spoken out about the ongoing border crisis, even when it meant facing backlash from the previous administration.

Finding His Ground

Adams has stumbled at points but seems to be finding his footing, particularly with the appointment of Jessica Tisch as police chief.

Recently, the Police Academy celebrated the graduation of its largest class in years, indicating that qualified individuals are eager to join a robust New York police force.

Adams’ reelection would ensure that ongoing positive developments continue.

Commissioner Tisch doesn’t fall under the influence of Cuomo or his party.

Polls about Cuomo’s chances may have misjudged public sentiment during the primaries, and they might be off again.

It appears the former governor is merely trying to create division among voters to maintain some semblance of relevance.

In contrast, Adams has robust backing from police unions and significant support from major Black churches.

Having a coalition like this in New York represents an incredible opportunity, and building a majority by November could lay a solid foundation for the future.
