WWE Survivor Series: War Games Highlights
During Saturday night’s WWE Survivor Series: War Games event, a mysterious figure made a surprise appearance in a 10-man match, while Liv Morgan returned to assist Dominik Mysterio in reclaiming the Men’s Intercontinental Championship.
The Men’s WarGames match featured Bron Breaker, Bronson Reed, Logan Paul, Drew McIntyre, and Brock Lesnar going head-to-head with Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Roman Reigns, and the Uso brothers. Before the highly anticipated “Original Tribal Chief” stepped into the cage, a brawl broke out between Lesnar and Reigns, leading to chaos both inside and outside the ring.
With all ten competitors finally in the double ring setup, it appeared that the crowd favorites were in a strong position. In a dramatic moment, Reigns speared Paul, who retaliated with brass knuckles, landing Superman Punches on both Reed and McIntyre, before taking down Breaker and Lesnar with powerful spears.
Punk seemed poised to secure victory for his team by pinning Paul. However, an unexpected wrestler donned in a black hoodie and mask entered the fray, confronting Punk and Breaker. This newcomer attacked Punk with a superkick and a stomp before slipping out of the cage. Consequently, Breaker managed to pin Punk, securing the win for his team.
The identity of this mysterious attacker sparked speculation on social media, with fans suggesting names like Seth Rollins, Austin Theory, or Chris Jericho. Meanwhile, Reigns and Rose clashed in the center of the ring as Paul Heyman celebrated with the victorious team.
Reigns ominously remarked to Rose, “This is the last time we’ll be a team. That’s all you need to know.”
In another match, Mysterio emerged victorious over John Cena in what turned out to be the final premium live event of the 17-time WWE Champion’s career. Mysterio didn’t hold back, entering the ring with Judgment Day members Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez. After a brief check-up for Mysterio, the two women attacked Cena, but he countered, lifting both of them for a simultaneous move.
Just when it looked like Cena would secure the pin, he found himself without a conscious referee. He called for help, but unexpectedly, Morgan arrived. Although she initially seemed to support him, her expression quickly changed as she kicked him where it hurts, executing a 619 and frog splash on Mysterio before handing the Intercontinental title to Cena. Ultimately, Mysterio pinned Cena and celebrated alongside Morgan as the new Intercontinental and AAA Mega Champion.
In another match, the team comprising AJ Lee, Rhea Ripley, Iyo Sky, Charlotte Flair, and Alexa Bliss triumphed over Becky Lynch, Asuka, Kairi Sane, Nia Jax, and Rush Legend, with Lee forcing Lynch to tap and concluding that match on a high note.
Stefanie Vaquel managed to retain her women’s world title against Nikki Bella.
